Two Kilted Scots Soldiers

Further Archive Research

We can mount a more indepth study of your family or indeed just one particular ancestor who may have had a distinguished military career, or was possibly a medical practitioner, or man of the cloth? On the other hand was he a lowly agricultural labourer subject to the vagaries of the harvest and perhaps dependent on the Parish and had to enter the workhouse when times were hard or through periods of ill health.  This is the kind of information about your family that can be found in the official records and really bring your ancestors to life.
